Frequently Asked Questions

You may be able to study part-time, undertaking as few as 25 or 50 credit points (one or two units) per semester. This reduces your weekly workload considerably but extends the duration of your course. You may also be able to change each semester, studying part-time in one semester, then full-time in the following. But keep in mind that not all courses have a part-time study option.

If your application is unsuccessful, you will receive feedback on the reason and alternate course options, if applicable. You can also contact MIA team for advice on how to become eligible for the next intake.

If you do not pay your fees in full by the due date, you may incur late fees.

In most cases, you will need to pay your tuition fees by the due date shown on your Invoice. If you are having trouble paying your fees on time, you may have additional options as outlined below.

If you are an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident on a humanitarian visa or
You may be eligible to defer your tuition fees by submitting an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) before the study period due date.

If you are an Australian Permanent Resident on a non-humanitarian visa or New Zealand citizen not eligible to defer your fees:
You may be able to reduce your study load or take a leave of absence.

If you are a continuing international student on a temporary student visa:
