How to Apply

Graduate career-ready with industry-aligned programs offering hands-on learning, real-world projects, and valuable networking opportunities.

The Application Process

1

Complete Application Form

Applying to the Melbourne Institute of Australia (MIA) is a straightforward process, but it requires thoughtful planning and preparation. Start by researching the available courses and specialisations to find the one that best aligns with your career goals. Before applying, be sure to check the academic and English language entry requirements to confirm your eligibility.

If needed, consider alternative courses to enhance your chances of admission. You can download the application form, which will guide you through selecting your course(s) and listing the necessary supporting documents. For assistance at any stage, feel free to contact MIA, your local Australian visa office, or an education agent in your country.

2

Application Review

Once your application is received, MIA will assess it against the Institute’s entry requirements, including minimum age, academic qualifications, and English language proficiency. If you are applying for a student visa, we are also required to determine whether you meet the Genuine Student (GS) criteria set by the Department of Home Affairs. If MIA determines that you do not meet the GS requirement, your application may not be assessed further, and any offer or confirmation of enrolment may be withdrawn. We may request additional documentation or conduct an interview as part of this process.

In some cases, you may be referred to a registered education agent for further support. If your application is successful, you will receive an International Student Course Agreement (ISCA), outlining how to accept your offer, along with payment instructions for tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

3

Confirmation of Application

If your application is accepted, you will receive a Letter of Offer along with an Acceptance Form. Before accepting, carefully review the offer and note any conditions that may apply. These conditions must be met before Melbourne Institute of Australia (MIA) can issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

4

Application Interview

Interviews are typically conducted over the phone by a member of the Academic Team. The aim is to learn more about you, your future goals, and your motivation for choosing the course, helping us ensure the program aligns with your aspirations.

5

Payment of Fees

You may be required to pay tuition fees prior to receiving your CoE. MIA will clearly outline all necessary steps and requirements in your offer package.
